All Inventory Brought into the shop needs to have this file filled out.
We will then IMPORT IT and print your barcodes on site. (a little different than how we thought it worked, but hey, we are learning here.)
Make a COPY of this, I would keep yours as months on the bottom in tabbed, one tab for Nov1, Nov2(if you restock), Dec, etc.
The file you send us MUST ONLY BE ONE TAB
I will be posting your ID for Column A and B
You will fill out Colums C-M
DO NOT DELETE ANY ROWS / COLUMNS (you can leave them blank, but do not DELETE), this will mess up the import and before you know it, your qty becomes your dollar amount, etc.
Also, when you send us Decembers, it needs to be ONLY merch you are bringing in, do NOT leave old merch on the spreadsheet you send us, it will duplicate it in our system.
We will both make some mistakes, we will know about them when the barcodes are printed, we will fix them =)
I am going to post some info about how we are going to barcode SMALL items, such as earrings, so don't worry too much just yet about that, we are working it out.
The barcodes will be on cardstock or labels, you will be able to request upon arrival, but they must all be on the same, we cannot go through and separate the print out.
You can use google docs OR excel for this spreadsheet if you wish.
Give details where it asks for them, as you know, if you are not here and someone asks "is this silver?" or "is this a print" or "is this silk" if you put it there, when the person working scans the item, it will pull up all the details.
Right now, we aren't sure if the image things works, so try maybe with one or two, just to test it out.
Lowest Price is really for Vintage items, so if your items are new, don't worry about it.
If you have something like handbags, and you have 15 of the Medium Hobo, you can put qty 15 and add it just once and it will print out 15 of the same barcodes. If you want to keep track of which fabrics are selling best, then you need to enter separate items for each fabric, so for instance:
5 Floral Medium Hobo
5 Blue Star Medium Hobo
5 White Medium Hobo
and it will print separate labels for each of those 3 item descriptions x 5
IF YOU HAVE HANGERS, put them in your inventory sheet as one item, qty (however many you have) and put them around the neck of your hangers when you come in. You will see them in your sales as a 0.00 item, and can get them back!
Questions that have come up:
1. DELETE EVERYTHING IN THE SAME EXCEPT ROW 1, You should save an original so you don't forget what needs to go there however. Do not send us a spreadsheet with the sample info or other info in Column A or it will end up in your inventory! =)
2. Can we send it in excel via email? Yep! Excel or Google Docs works for us.
